Welcome to Stamford United Reformed Church
We stand firmly in the non-conformist tradition and acknowledge the dissenters of the past. We are proud of our heritage of all member ministry and delight in the call to be Reformed and reforming. The modern United Reformed Church is at the forefront of ecumenism and looks to work together with other Christian denominations for the good of the community.
Our building stands testament to our sense of calling to Stamford rebuilt in 1819 after a previous building was destroyed by fire at the hands of a mob that was intent on forcing the Dissenter out of the town.
No such drama will beset visitors these days and a ready welcome is offered to all.
Our Sunday morning service time is 10:30 with communion shared on the second Sunday each month.

Please note that Sunday 23rd March is Peter’s last service as our Minister before he retires, so I’m sure as many people as possible will want to be there. Following the service, there will be a reception with a light buffet and drinks available in the Church Hall – all are welcome
